Fairness & technology

Fairness you can check, explained honestly.

How Redline’s provably fair scheme works, what you can verify yourself, and what it does not prove.

The scheme

How Redline decides a round.

This describes Redline’s implemented scheme. It applies to Redline only.

  1. Commit

The server creates a random 32-byte server seed with a cryptographically secure generator and shows you its SHA-256 hash before you play. The hash of the next seed is shown in advance too.

  2. Your input

Your client seed is mixed in, and you can change it at any time. A nonce counts the rounds played with each seed pair.

  3. Derive

HMAC-SHA256 of your client seed and nonce, keyed with the server seed, gives a number that sets the hidden target on the dial. Your tap only sets where the needle stops.

  4. Reveal & verify

When you rotate the seed pair, the old server seed is revealed. Check its hash, then recompute any round in Redline’s Verify panel.

serverSeedHash = SHA256(serverSeed) ← shown before play digest = HMAC_SHA256(serverSeed, clientSeed + ":" + nonce + ":0") u = (first 52 bits of digest) / 2^52 target = u × 1800 ms ← 0–180 km/h on the dial multiplier = the mode’s published curve, from the distance between stop and target

What verification proves and does not prove

What verification proves

  • A revealed round’s result was fixed by seeds committed before you played.
  • The server seed was not swapped afterwards: its hash must match the one you saw.
  • Your client seed was part of the calculation, so the server could not pick the outcome alone, as long as you set or change the client seed after seeing the commitment.
  • The multiplier follows the published curve for the recorded version of the math.

What it does not prove

  • That the published payout curves and RTP are fair. That is shown by the published math and simulations; independent lab certification is planned.
  • Anything about an operator’s wallet, balances, payments or business.
  • That every copy of the game runs the same code; verify rounds where you play.
  • Rounds whose server seed hasn’t been revealed yet.

Hashing alone does not prove an entire game is fair. Commit–reveal proves individual outcomes were not changed after the fact.

Enter any seeds to watch the hash, digest and target being derived in your browser. To verify a real Redline round, use the Verify panel inside the game.

Your inputs stay on this page and are never sent anywhere.

Technology

How we build for trust.

  • Randomness. Server seeds come from the operating system’s cryptographically secure random generator (32 bytes). Each outcome is a single HMAC-SHA256 draw with 52-bit resolution.
  • Even odds across the dial. Redline’s payout zone stretches near the ends, so the return is the same 98.75% at every stop position.
  • Tested math. RTP is proven by exact calculation of the paid, rounded multipliers and confirmed by simulating millions of rounds per mode.
  • Server-authoritative rounds. The hidden target never reaches the browser before a round settles.
  • No secrets published. We never expose unrevealed seeds, credentials or exploitable details.
  • Certification. Independent lab testing of Redline is planned.
